Andrew Pearson is one of only a handful of truly specialist hip surgeons in the UK. He ran a successful hip practice at one of the UK’s leading specialist centres The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and now working full time in the private sector his whole practice is dedicated to treating hip conditions.
Because Andrew specialises exclusively in this area each year he does in excess of 300 hip replacement operations where a more general orthopaedic surgeon may do around 50 hips. This has allowed him to become highly experienced in a niche field, leading to very low complication rates and high patient satisfaction levels.
At both the West Midlands premier private hospital The Priory in Birmingham and The Droitwich Spa hospital in Worcestershire he sees patients insured with all the major health insurance companies and welcomes self-paying patients.
When not working Andrew enjoys boating and sailing as well as country walks with his dog Ginger.
59 year old Thelma from Wolverhampton says ”I’d say to others who are living in pain like I was, there’s nothing to be frightened of. My treatment was excellent, my recovery period was excellent, I suffered no pain at all and something that’s important to us ladies – I’m really pleased with my scar! Mr Pearson is an excellent gentleman and easy to talk to.” Thelma Wolverhampton
